Our Mission:
East Tennessee VOAD is a voluntary consortium of recognized state volunteer organizations active in disaster relief. Its mission is to foster, through cooperation in mitigation and response, more effective service to people affected (imperiled or impacted) by disasters.
About ET VOAD
VOAD is a national organization recognized by both FEMA and Homeland Security.
Tennessee VOAD is our state organization recognized by National VOAD and TEMA.
East Tennessee VOAD is our regional organization (TEMA District 2).

ET VOAD responds as requested and coordinated through the Red Cross, local Emergency Management and government agencies, or TEMA.
ET VOAD organizations are not “First Responder” organizations.
ET VOAD organizations remain independent.
Disaster volunteers are affiliated with, recruited by, scheduled and accountable to their respective organizations - Volunteer teams have specific capabilities:
